We had a great meeting in February with the introduction of this year’s challenge theme along with a talk about how to approach a challenge. I hope many of you found inspiration and are already working on your projects. Don’t forget that our quilt show committee is planning a special Show and Tell of the quilts you would have entered into the 2021 show. So be sure to get those finished up and ready for their photoshoots.

In March, we get to hear from Maria Shell who just won the Best Machine Quilting award at QuiltCon Together for her improvisational quilt titled “Mosh Pit @ the Golden”. I hope many of you had the opportunity to participate in some way with QuiltCon. It was the best virtual show I have seen so far with the ability to zoom in and see details of the quilts as well as hear comments from the makers. There were also plenty of lectures and workshops to enjoy and I look forward to seeing the new projects our members create as a result.

Coming up, we will begin to recruit new Board Members and Committee Chairmen. If you are interested in serving the Guild in some capacity, please contact Joan Costello, our Vice-President. We love it when different members get involved and bring new ideas to the table. It keeps our Guild fresh and serving the interests of our membership.

Thank you all for staying connected with us. Sherrill Ash Sherrill
