2020 is almost over and we are looking forward to our annual holiday party. Just like everything else about this year, it will be different but still promises to be a fun evening. I hope everyone will reach out to any friends who are still not on Zoom and teach them how to participate. Don't forget to don your party hat and prepare yourself some holiday treats before you join us!

I want to take this opportunity to recognize a long time member of our Guild that we will greatly miss when she leaves us. Terann Carr has captained our Charity work for years and I'm sure it will take a team of members to fill her shoes. She will be moving across the country to be near her daughter's family. I'm afraid we can't compete with grandkids.

Thank you Terann for everything you have done for our Guild and we wish you all the best with your move and the new quilty friends you will surely make.

P

Party with the Guild! Join us for our First Annual Virtual Holiday Party at 6:30pm on Monday, Dec. 7. The party will feature prizes, updates on the charity quilts and a chance to win prizes, including THREE baskets. What do you need to do to participate?

1. Send a photo of your ONE favorite Winter Holiday quilt along with a SHORT sentence explaining why it’s the favorite. Send both to Joan Costello at beachbreak1250@gmail.com (not the one in the directory) NO LATER than Friday, Nov. 27.

2. Decorate yourself so that it will show on Zoom - sparkly earrings, tinsel necklace or antler headgear.

The evening will feature fabric designer Erin Dunne who will discuss her new collection for Moda Fabrics, inspired by her move to Monterey. Erin is part of the family who founded Moda . She will also share her perspective on the industry and the development of a collection.

If you have any suggestions or questions, please contact Fatima Dias, 831-917-4693 or Susan Michelson.
