Nancy Brown

Besides fabric, is there anything that would make you smile as much as the thought of our beautiful coastline? Join Nancy Brown for her delightful hand appliqué class using her original pattern entitled "Pacific Coast." In addition to sky, ocean, sand, a bird and tidal pool inhabitants provided in the pattern, Nancy will provide additional instructions on drawing and adding your own undersea life to this 12" x 16" coastal scene. Skills taught include hand appliqué, layering of appliqué and how to make an appliqué pattern from a photo. Beginners are most welcome, no drawing experience required!

Create a fusion of beautiful color, blending and mixing your favorite fabrics to produce a contemporary wall hanging. Students will be guided through a process that involves free rotary cutting, invisible appliqué and surface decoration. The quilt can be made in portrait or landscape view and each one will be unique. They can be designed to have a landscape feel or be completely abstract. This workshop is suitable for new and experienced quilters, as the complexity of the design can be adapted to match the skills of each participant. With no precise cutting or piecing to deal with, this carefree, fun filled class allows students to relax and enjoy creating amazing color schemes with beautiful fabrics.
