Membership

Founded in 1979 the Monterey Peninsula Quilters Guild currently has over 250 members. Members receive a monthly MPQG newsletter that includes timely program updates and announcements of special events. Workshops with nationally known instructors are presented throught the year.

The Guild is actively involved with community outreach programs See Outreach for more information.

MPQG annually awards grants to other community groups. The grants are small (between $150 and $250) and are focused on educational and creative programs that preserve the heritage of quiltmakers and promote public education regarding the art of quilting. Grants are awarded each January contingent on the availability of funds from MPQG's annual holiday fundraiser. Grant requests are accepted by MPQG's 1st Vice President between August 1 and December 1 of each year. Download PDF of Grant Application
